Frederique Constant seconde/seconde/ Slimline moonphase / rare!
Admittedly, this is a bit of a long shot on Omegaforums, but hey, it is a cool piece with a great backstory. It's rare with only 100 (!) made and I figured I should offer it to this community first. So, here goes.
For sale an as new Limited Edition Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase, made in collaboration with artist seconde/seconde/. This very rare series sold out prior to its release and I was very fortunate to obtain one. It's much, much more special than just a different dial colour. There's a lot to unpack here... 😉 It's just a bit too big for me to enjoy wearing it and consequently sits in the box. Which is a pity. It's worthy of a lot more love than I'm giving it, so I'm passing it on.
The watch: As new, worn it only a few times. Reason for selling is quite simply that it is a tat big on my wrist due to its size (42mm) and big white dial surface area. It's super cool though, as close to humour as I would guess a renown Swiss watch brand can get.
The backstory from FC:
Upon a first glance from a distance, the Slimline Moonphase Date Manufacture (FC-705SOC4S6) appears… totally normal. The finely polished three-part 42mm stainless steel case, the subtly sparkling matt silver dial and harmonious moonphase and date display are all there. Yet a closer look reveals that nothing is as it seems. On the online-exclusive edition, the crown, hands and applied hour markers reflect a rose gold hue, contrasting against the coolness of the steel and silver elements. But that’s just the beginning.
Something is clearly not right with the dial. The applied hour markers appear to be weirdly and unevenly dispatched. The script of the logo and the date indication look like they were hand-written. Even the moonphase disk’s moon and stars look uneven and drawn by hand. For seconde/seconde/ though, it makes perfect sense: to highlight the handcrafted aspect of Frederique Constant’s Slimline Moonphase Date Manufacture by incorporating a bit of human error and uneven typography that could only have been drawn by hand, while the elements themselves are perfectly executed and embellished by hand.
The Set: Comes as a full set up to and including the Point-of-Sale material for this piece. Of course the retailers receipt dated April 2024 will be included as well.
Shipped worldwide, although I would strongly prefer a F2F deal in the Netherlands given the value of this piece and the added benefit of meeting a fellow OF-member in person.
No returns, please ask questions and extra pictures in advance. I am not making a habit out of selling, but I do have some - exclusively positive - references as a seller and buyer on this forum and could share more.
References and Linkedin profile available upon request.
Price: €3450 (excluding shipping and net to me) which is basically the watch at cost. I am not looking for a profit or a quick flip, just a better home for it and an owner who will actually wear this cool piece.
Well, enough said, on to the pictures:
