I literally hunted down this watch, because it is amazing, and even more gorgeous in person. But after a couple of days of wear, I recognize how futile it is to have 3 black chronographs, two of which are reverse pandas. So in very short order this watch has already been neglected for my Fortis and Omega Speedmaster (see photos) in my "human spaceflight" collection. Fast forward to **1995, Guinand was acquired by Helmut Sinn (yes, that Sinn)**, which cemented their legacy as a Frankfurt-based Swiss pilot's watch/chronograph manufacturer. Guinand is now owned/operated by Matthais Klueh, an engineer local to Frankfurt who has been keeping the rich tradition of the Guinand family alive - though many watches still bear the signature of Helmut Sinn's classic design language. This workhorse chronograph took **clear design cues from the Sinn 103 Chronogra**ph - this model omitted the running seconds at 9 o'clock, creating a cleaner, more legible pilot's dial. The Elaboré grade 7750 is visible through a sapphire case-back and is possibly the best-looking movement you'll ever find in a sub-2k chronograph.
