Still no joy with this one and no point to just keep as a trophy watch in the box.



Attractive and fully serviced by Omega certified watchmaker 145.022 – 69. Tested to 3 ATM WR with all new gaskets and a restored movement, needed after 12 years in a banksafe. Lovely dial with tropical hue or light brown colour and a great DO90 bezel with just 2 marks in a sharp case. Look at my NA thread for the history.



Now up to spec for daily use, with only a few points of notice ;

CASE :
Sharp lines and intact beveling on the sides. Small signs of age and a few nicks here and there, like on the lugs from the bracelet, and a few scratch marks on the upper left lug. The close-up down below shows that but on the other pics you have a hard time noticing it. Not polished by me.

Used the close feet crown and pushers that came with the watch to keep it original, all fitted with new gaskets and with the 3 ATM test you can use it while washing the dishes or mow the lawn.
Polished the original crystal which also has the narrow feet logo.





BACK :
Clear hippocampus on the back with the circulair grain visible. Crown is pulled out for the pictures, don`t worry !



DIAL :
Early tropical colour or brown hue dial and patina markers. The markers have full lume as per the picture but the 4 o`clock one has a small dot. Even with my reading glasses on this dial is in great shape but of course time has left a few traces ; there is a ring around the center pinion hole which looks like a drag mark and is visible with magnification, partialy covered by the now correct installed hour hand.
A spot just to the right of the center pinion and a few very small age marks between 3 and 4 on the step edge. The spot at 07.30 shown in the earlier post cleaned up nicely.
Again at normal reading distance you won`t see them.



Better tritium h+m hands mounted as the originals were not in a good shape, with a natural matching colour. So not relumed. Hour hand has a tiny hole. The original sweep chrono had a missing back-end and i replaced it with a new drop-end luminova one which shape i prefer over the straight-end one.





MOVEMENT:
Calibre 861 fully serviced in July 2024, worth 2K, by an Omega watchmaker – see the junked parts picture. Runs smooth at + 7sec and 100% s/s/r of course. Serial # 2963xxx date estimate is June 1970.



BRACELET:
Omega 1171 with 633 end links for an 18 -19 cm wrist with traces of use but still solid. The clasp is closing tight so you need to put one finger underneath to get enough pressure. End links have marks of use .



ACCESSORIES:
Copy Service invoice and pressure test print out. Period correct red box, nos guarantee booklet ( 1968 ) a version without the carbon pages ( not torn out ), and a nos You & Your omega ( Mexico 1968 ) manual.



THE BUSINESS END :
A watch with an as new movement, attractive patina and colour. If you balance the originality and positives with the age and use related points i think this is a very good watch. And without the 7 month wait for a service ! I took pictures inside & outside with different lighting and background to give a good overview.

Price is € 9500,- for the complete set, plus EU courrier insured shipping if wanted. RoW please provide a EU address or pick up. I base this on a similair – 69 from Speedmaster101 which has a 1039 and is asking 11,5K, the 101 price chart + service + colour, a recent auction of a similair one for 9,7 K and some C24 listings. So we can skip the negotiations

I have some recent value sales on C24 i can provide as reference, i do most buying and selling over there but now that the Taxman is also involved there i would like to try it here first.
