This time, I'm putting this slim Seamaster De Ville up for grabs. Like it's larger, automatic brothers, this watch is sized at about 34mm. It is a classic Omega, emblematic of the brand’s philosophy during its golden era.

This is the iconic monocoque “front-loader”, with an elegant profile integrated with the striking Seamaster hippocampus medallion. I’ve said this before, but despite being pretty much only one main component, there’s a lot of complex curvature and details that demonstrate Omega’s engineering prowess at the time. If you want to find out more about how the case works, check out this page: https://watchguy.co.uk/tmp/Omega-The-monocoque-case-for-the-new-Seamaster.pdf

Dial: The centerpiece of this watch is without a doubt the dial – It features a vertically brushed motif with a twist. The lacquer appears to have selectively patinated, with parts of it turning a pale, rosy-copper. Combined with the brushing, the dial looks like a silver bark. Obviously, the wood motif won't be for everyone, but for people looking for a more unique, interesting dial, this may be a worthy candidate for consideration.

The dial also features onyx inserts on the cardinal indices. All script is present and original, with serifs.

Hands: Original minute and hour hand, service seconds hand. No luminous, as is correct for this model.

Case: The elegant monocoque case is in pretty good condition, with light scratches. All original contours and edges are present. It's probably been lightly polished at least once in its life. A bonus of the 14765 reference is that it is exceptionally thinner than its automatic counterparts, coming in at 9.5mm rather than the typical 11.5mm.

Crown: Service crown. Modern Omega Logo. The correct scalloped design for this reference.

Crystal: The crystal is a Sternkreuz replacement with the correct mounting groove and bubble profile for this watch. It has some light hairline scratches from wear, but can easily be polished out with polywatch or toothpaste.

Movement: The movement is a hand-wound Omega 610. It is keeping time within half a minute a day. The caliber is in generally good condition, with the original finishing present. Service history is not known.

Price: Asking $765 shipped CONUS, Paypal F&F, Zelle, Venmo, or Bank Wire accepted. Watch head only. International shipping can be arranged. Please no returns unless terribly misrepresented.
