Team,
I’ve decided to part ways with my Mitsukoshi mod, built upon an almost new 311.30.42.30.01.005. The watch was originally purchased in Southern Cali in Oct, 2020. I bought it in Feb 2021. The original owner sold it when his name came up on the Submariner waiting list. He didn’t think he needed it after taking possession of the Rolly.
I already owned (sealed packages), Omega OEM Mituskoshi hands and dial, and bought this watch intending to have the mod done by an OEM certified watchmaker. The modification was performed at World Time (Watches Repair in House), San Jose. Once I had it done, I discovered the legibility of the dial/hands was unsuitable for me without my reading glasses (which I don’t like putting on just to check my watch). It has been worn very little since the mod was done. I’ve decided it is time to let this one go. As you can see from the pictures, it is an outstanding example.
Nothing need be said about the platform (311.30.42.30.01.005), beyond it functions as it should with no discernible problems. The case back has tell-tale scratches left during spring bar removal.
The sale includes:
- All original content of the big box purchase made by the first buyer (loupe, NATO strap, long Velcro strap, spring bar tool, bracelet, all cards and manual). None of these materials have been used.
- Original Speedmaster bracelet on watch when purchased. More on this later.
- Silver Snoopy strap with Omega deployant.
- Uncle Seiko Presidente’ bracelet with OEM Omega clasp cover. More on this later.
- Forstner flat link bracelet.
- USPS Registered Shipping (insured) in the US. Anything else will have to be discussed, with the buyer picking up additional cost.
Regarding the Uncle Seiko Presidente’. At the suggestion of an OF member, I was able to obtain an OEM Omega clasp cover (NOS) and replace the US clasp cover with the Omega clasp cover. While the overall bracelet is not OEM Omega, the presentation if very nice. I have worn this assembly on my 1998 Speedy and find the combination appealing. That said, I think it might enhance the Mitsukoshi mod, so it is included. The thread that put me on to the clasp: Uncle Seiko - Uncle Frank N. Seiko | Omega Forums There are a couple of pictures showing this bracelet too.
Note the original hands and dial are not included. The reason is simple – I can’t locate them no matter how hard I try. It is inconceivable, but I may have inadvertently lost them for good. Don't bother kicking me. I've done that enough for all of us.
Price: Was $8000.00; now $7800.00 - Payable by wire transfer. Serious offers considered. Please don’t offer a trade. I am trying to downsize and won’t consider trades. Sale to established member with positive, verifiable history. No returns unless the watch is not as described above and in the pictures. X33 not included.
My feedback: I've purchased from pdxleaf and robinhook here (can't figure out how to locate feedback provided by them). I have extensive feedback elsewhere under the same forum name.
