Hello Watch Exchange! Up for sale today is a unique piece of watchmaking history and craftsmanship -- \~1973 Zenith El Primero Surf Chronograph (reference 01.210.415). This piece was recently totally reworked at a cost of well over $3,000 by Zenith. The new owner of this watch will enjoy an incredible vintage piece with the original cushion case design and El Primero movement but with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the watch was painstakingly restored by the manufacturer. While I've invested a lot of time and money in this watch, I'm moving away from vintage watches, so my loss will be your gain!  Here's what you're getting:  * **Movement:** This watch features the 3019 PHC movement, again, completely restored by Zenith. It's now working perfectly, as far as I can tell. The crystal has been replaced, so is spotless. The case itself is in nice shape, as seen in the pictures. Lots of honest scratches, of course. The hands and crown were also replaced, but as noted below, I will also send the originals.  * **Band:** Brand new Zenith leather band. Never worn!  * **Box & papers:** Nothing from the original purchase (not surprisingly), but you will get a brand new Zenith travel case plus the restoration paperwork detailing all the work completed. * **Original pieces:** I will also include all the original pieces, which Zenith returned after restoring. * **Price:** I'm offering this for a somewhat negotiable $4,900 (which represents a substantial loss on my side). Zelle or wire preferred, but I'm flexible for those with Watch Exchange histories.  * **Trades:** Probably not, but you never know. I'm looking for something more modern and smaller.
