**Up for sale is a mint Seiko Twin/King Quartz 9923-800A in the rare black on gold combination. The watch is in a mint condition with only minimal signs of wear. The gold plating of course is perfect. The crystal is clean and has a nice green to purple AR coating. ​ **CASE:** To me personally this is probably the best integrated bracelet vintage midcase Seiko has ever released. That profile with the sublime downturn of the lugs together with the drilled holes just hit different, especially with the perfectly balanced bezel height and the flat caseback. A polished bevelled edge follows the bottom line of the midcase and the bezel, which adds just that little bit of extra flash. Just beautiful clean lines with otherwise only nicely brushed surfaces. ​ **DIAL:** Fine matt black dial with high contrast white indices and hands, while the gilt Seiko logo and the gilt minute track play with the light. The day wheel is in both German and English. ​ **BRACELET:** Has a nice weight to it, adding its part to make this '79 Seiko feel premium. Articulation is smooth and the clasp also doesn't feel cheap and looks neat. No micro adjustments though. ​ **MOVEMENT:** The Twin Quartz watches belonged to the absolute high-end category in their time. Back in the 70s Seiko specified an annual (!) deviation of +/- 20 seconds and even lower. I can't guarantee such accuracy today but I will update this text with my result after it has sit a week in my box (if it's not sold by then :)). However, on the wrist, it will likely perform even better than in the box, because these watches were actually regulated to the temperatures of the wrist, yeah, Seiko did a lot to achieve perfection.
