Up for sale is a Franck Muller "Casablanca" chronograph in 18k rose gold. This is a stunner of a watch. It is essentially a big hunk of gold with excellent finishing and charm, equipped with a speedmaster movement. The watch measures in at about 40mm x 31mm, with a tonneau shape case that famously contains all curved and no straight edges (other than the top and bottom of the dial). The case is made of 18k rose gold. The dial features a beautiful beige guilloche finish, with Franck Muller's signature exploding numbers in black. One of my favorite features of this dial and the dials on Casablancas generally is that the dial is not a flat surface, but rather it bends with the curve of the watch. It has a very cool 3-dimensional effect. In my opinion not only is this watch a killer from the design perspective, but it is also a stunner mechanically. It features a Franck Muller modified manual chronograph Lemania 1873 movement, which is the same base caliber as Speedmaster professionals from 1968 through the 90s.
