This is a 1945 Universal Geneve 50701, in 14k gold. What a gorgeous beauty. It’s unusual to see these watches in gold, since they were generally used for military purposes. Particularly unusual is the scalloped bezel, which I have never seen in another example. I’m sure many of you have! Dimensions are 32.2mm in diameter, 39.1mm lug to lug, and 10.7mm thick. The 263 movement has been service and is running strong. The variance in the verticals positions is more than I would like, but they cancel each other out (and hey, for an unadjusted watch from 1945, pretty good!). The timekeeping in dial up and dial down is excellent, as you can see. There are surface scratches throughout the case, but the crystal is quite clear (it is new). Patina on the dial.
