[WTS] Jaeger Vintage (1950s) Desktop Timer
[WTS] Jaeger Vintage (1950s) Desktop Timer
Selling a cool piece I’ve had on my desk for a while. This is a Jaeger 60-minute desktop timer from the 1950s. It’s an “export” model as it shows in French (“secondes”) but was manufactured in Great Britain. This is the same Jaeger behind the watch brand (Jaeger-LeCoultre), though as I understand it the instrument division which also manufactured gauges for many storied British automotive manufacturers (Jaguar, MG, others) made this piece. The timer is fully functional, and stops/starts/resets as intended. The case is metal and finished in a cream lacquer paint, which does have a few chips/scratches from age. The face of the timer is clear plastic (might be plexiglass) and has some very light surface scratches but nothing I’d consider major. Left in its original condition, this device has traces of wear related to time (see photos, they are part of the description): scratches, paint chips, etc. Approximate dimensions: 5.5” wide x 4.75” tall x 1.75” deep; clock face itself is about 4” round. If you are not local I will make myself available for a video call / FaceTime as well. I'd like to get $99 shipped for the timer (to stay within flair rules!) but I am open to reasonable offers.
