Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.* We search the states from coast to coast to bring you some of the most impressive examples of American timepieces. Being watchmakers first and foremost allows us to complete some of the most remarkable restorations—each one highlighting the golden age of American watchmaking. This Elgin from 1910 is no exception. Hand-polished balance and balance weights? Check. Hand-polished jewel settings? Check. Incredible porcelain-enamel dial? Check. Finished in plum and converted in our 40 mm case with perfect proportions for any wrist. And yes, it comes complete with the original 14-karat gold-filled pocket watch case—the very one that protected it for the past century. **Price**: $3,499, But negotiable—especially to someone with an interest getting into vintage American watchmaking. **Case**: 316L stainless (surgical grade steel), 40 mm diameter, 48 mm lug to lug, 13 mm height, sapphire crystals AR coated, front crystal domed, and 50 meters water resistance.
