Hey folks Up for grabs is a rarely seen and now discontinued model Tuna, the SLA042. Received in a trade from the original owner, this was purchased from earlier this month and retains the majority of the 3 year warranty. In mint condition, it is as pristine as a showroom model gets; aside from the wrist shots it remains unworn. The contrast of the rose gold tone and black is something special, and paired with a tool watch, it’s simply stunning and unexpected. This was the last model available in Canada as confirmed by the previous owner as well as the owner of the AD whom I happen to know. To own a Tuna is to own a rich part of the brands history and dive watches in general. Powering the watch is the 8L35 GS finished movement that is based on the GS 9S movement. The watch measures at 52.4mm at the shroud, 17.4mm in thickness and a “lug to lug” of 53.2mm. Lug width is 22mm. The shroud is of course ceramic, while the case itself is a monocoque titanium endeavour. The bezel is ever brilliant steel coated in rose gold tone plating along with the screws and crown.
