Seiko 7A28-7120 'Gen 1' that was issued in 1988 and used by RAF helicopter pilots. The Gen 2 reference came after in the early 1990s.
All functions work and the chrono starts/stops/resets. The case is in good shape with no major dents or dings. There are some small wear marks but the watch is in overall good condition for an issued piece of + 30 years. This Gen 1 was recently sent to my watchmaker, it was cleaned and checked over, and given a clean bill of health.
The caseback shows an interesting engraving that appears to have been done by hand, and reads 'CFO STOCKTON'. RAF Stockton/Thorton is/was a base linked to the RAF, so the watch has obvious links there. It adds no monetary value in my opinion, but is an interesting addition none the less.
The dial and hands are mark free and have the well know peppermint colour patina associated with this reference. Comes on a new 20mm green NATO band.
