For sale is this vintage Seiko Silver Wave 7121-7030, made in Japan, in March of 1980. The Silver Wave series by Seiko has a cult following as they were only released for the Japanese domestic market and the Silver Wave series goes back to the 60s with some of Seiko's very first dive watches. This example has a unique and beautiful "desert storm" tropical patina to the dial that doesn't affect any of the print, markers or hands. On the dial is also an applied Seiko logo, an applied single crystal quartz logo, printed Silver Wave logo and Daini factory logo (during their fierce rivalry between the Suwa factory). It features a screw-down crown and the bezel is widened at the left and right edges for visual interest. The hands and indices are polished with a painted black middle. The 7121 movement is beautiful and quality-built as were many early quartz movements compared to now and the seconds hand hits all the markers. The watch is in good condition with some general wear as expected for a 45-year-old watch, some small scratches on the crystal but the scratches on the watch and crystal are more visible in the pictures compared with in real life. The finishing is original and intact. Paired with a brand new JDM Bambi strap.
