[WTS] Seiko SLA059 Seigaiha US Special Edition
Hello again! I’m excited to share this super rad, well spec’d RED diver from Seiko, the SLA059 Seigaiha US Special Edition! This stunning diver is built to serious specs, borrowed from another site because they said it better than I could: *This U.S. Special Edition celebrates the "seigaiha" or "blue ocean waves" pattern, deriving from an ancient Japanese tradition as a symbol of peace, good luck and good fortune. The rich burgundy dial evokes the sea at daybreak. Following ISO standards for saturation diving at depths of up to 300 meters, this exceptional timepiece is powered by a 26-jewel caliber 8L35 automatic movement, assembled expressly for diver’s watches at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio, with the increased torque necessary for the most challenging dives. This mechanical movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, and offers manual winding capability. For enhanced legibility, the hands and markers feature LumiBrite coating, with LumiBrite accents on the black ceramic uni-directional elapsed timing bezel. Offering a high-performance one-piece case in stainless steel with super-hard coating, this durable high-intensity timepiece includes an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, date window, screwdown crown, stainless steel bracelet with super-hard coating, tri-fold push button release clasp with slide adjuster, and additional black silicone strap. Packaged in a special collectors’ box. 300m Water Resistant.* This is a large watch at 44mm x 50mm x 15.4mm thick but very comfortable on the wrist on both the bracelet and strap option. Condition wise I would put this example at 99%. The Zaratsu polishing on the hardened case is mint, I cannot find a significant ding, mark or hairline on the watch head. The bracelet is near mint as well with just some light rubbing on the links from / near the clasp. The only noticeable wear is on the metal keeper on the rubber strap, there is a light rash from a desk diving adventure. Otherwise this will present “like new” on the wrist. The movement is keeping great time, with just a few hand winds I clocked it at 8sec/day on my timegrapher app. The watch will come with its full kit: boxes, papers + unsigned warranty card, watch with OEM bracelet and strap and two gorgeous matching seigaiha pattern red cufflinks! The retail on this watch was $3,300 before tax, so take advantage of some great savings on a minty example. Not interested in trades at this time.
