Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.* When we dream at night, this is the vintage American dial we see—bold, unbelievably clear numerals, red minute markers along the perimeter, and a sub-seconds dial. This is the quintessential American design, the epitome of vintage American watchmaking. Hard to believe the Illinois Watch Company put this together in 1906 in Springfield, Illinois. We brought this one back to life with some careful work. We hand-polished the movement plates, jewel settings, balance weights, and balance to restore the brilliance it had in 1906. Unbelievably, the original heat-blued hands needed no restoring—they are exactly as Illinois finished them at the time of manufacture. All around an amazing piece, and we are grateful for the chance to work on it here in Little Rock, Arkansas. Coming in at 44 mm with a lug to lug of just 47 mm, this conversion is as wearable as it is beautiful. **Price**: $1,849, But absolutely negotiable—especially to someone with an interest in getting involved in vintage American watchmaking. **Case**: 316L stainless, 44 mm diameter, 47 mm lug to lug (52 mm with crown), 13 mm height, front/back sapphire crystals.
