I have decided to sell one of my speedies and as I can’t decide if I let my -65 or -69 go, I will post both and once one of them is sold, I will withdraw the other one.

For sale is this 105.012-65 from 1967 in an all original and lovely condition.

The watch was bought by me via broker from the first owner in Sweden. I had it serviced in summer 2023 (receipt available) where also the minute hand was stabilised. Other than this, the watch is left in untouched condition.

The dial is excellent without any marks/damages to my eyes. The lume is intact and its colour is in my view exceptionally attractive. The hands and are original to the watch and so is the lume.

The case shows natural signs of wear but appears to be in unpolished condition. The double bevelled case back is very sharp with the hippocampus clearly visible. The fat pushers are correct and original. The crown is a correct A1 24 tooth flat feet.

The movement is recently serviced (summer 2023, receipt available) and working perfectly. The chronograph is functioning properly and resets as it should. Please note that the picture of the movement is from before the service. I will see if I can find a watchmaker to open it for me for a more recent picture.

The bezel adds a lot of character to this watch. Clearly it is worn but it has faded and turned into a “ghost bezel” (looks even better in IRL in my opinion, where it just appears to be grey/silver). I’ve tried to capture it in some of the pictures below.

I decided not to replace the bezel at this point as I prefer keeping my watches as original as possible and personally I really like how it looks. I will let the new owner decided if he/she keeps it as is or rather exchange it for financial optimisation.

The bracelet is a 1039 with 516 endlinks. It has a matching date stamp to the watch production date.

The watch comes with an extract from the omega archives.

All in all, this is a very cool and interesting speedmaster in a condition that allows you to enjoy it on a daily basis. Serviced and ready to be worn.
