For your consideration is the limited Tourby Lawless GMT 40 with the Pepsi bezel. The design speaks to me, and blended with the quality on offer, at such a great value, it was supposed to be a keeper if not for being slightly hefty for my 5 ¾ inch wrists. Wrists above 6 inches to 8 inches would be perfect for it in my opinion. Producing high quality watches is what Tourby does, as a German brand, and this piece is no different. Features of this watch that stands out are : Case The stainless steel case is hand-finished in Tourby’s workshop. It features brushed lug tops and polished case sides, with obvious polished chamfered edges on the lugs. Tourby claims their finishing is unparalleled in this price range. Dial The markers are varnished by hand and then placed on the dial, with “feet” that keeps it stuck on the dial. The seconds hand has a unique red tip. The blue dial has a sunburst that spreads from the center of the dial to the edge, with beautiful bright and dark transitions on different areas of the dial as the lighting changes. Made by a well-known German dial manufacturer exclusively for Tourby Watches. Bezel The sapphire bezel inlay is special in that all bezel numbers and lines glows with lume. This is only possible with sapphire bezels, because the luminous material is attached to the back of the glass in a mirror-inverted manner. Bezels are fine coin edged (looks elegant) and held by tiny screws for easy servicing. The screws line almost perfectly with the crown. The triangle at the 12 lines perfectly with the marker, as Tourby only glues the bezel inlays after the watch is finished, unlike many other brands. Bracelet The stainless steel bracelet are brushed on the side links, with polished center links. Similar to the case, it is hand-finished in Tourby’s workshop and is claimed to be unparalleled in this price range. It is almost perfectly integrated with the case, and features female end links. The links are held together by screws; not pin and collar, etc., and the adjustable folding clasp features tool-less micro adjustments. Overall condition of the watch is excellent. There are only a few fine scratches here and there, only noticeable if you look hard enough and under certain lighting conditions. The only more noticeable scratches are found on the adjustable clasp. No issues with time-keeping whatsoever, with the ETA 2892’s smooth seconds sweep and buttery smooth crown.
