Just a gorgeous understated ultra thin watch that blows your mind when you wind it, and hugs your wrist when you wear it. ‘Tis the season and thin is in! REF: 145.8.79.S YEAR: 1990s DIAL: Pure elegance! The silver sunburst dial pops like crazy in the light. Between the gorgeous texture and the subtle almost 3D shape to the hands… so simple, so clean, just an awesome design. CASE: 34MM stainless case, measures 40MM lug to lug, so some great presence, and a MAD 5.8MM thin! With the sapphire crystal front and back it manages to be incredibly thin and yet still feel incredibly sturdy. I believe it to be unpolished so has light wear throughout mostly seen on the bezel (amplified by bright light and a strong macro lens) but disappears on the wrist and looks fantastic. MOVEMENT: The hand wound JLC movememt is absolutely stunning, seen through the sapphire case back. Service history unknown, but just had it regulated by my watchmaker, winding and setting is buttery smooth and keeping great time. STRAP: Comes on a new hand made brown lizard strap.
