The front and back sapphire crystals are clean with no scratches or chips. The case is in excellent condition as well with no scratches or sings of polishing. The strap on the watch looks almost unworn. Original double folding solid 18k yellow gold clasp. (Serial blurred in pictures) This was watch released in 1994 commemorating the 400th anniversary of the death of renowned geographer and cartographer Gerardus Mercator. The Mercator features twin retrograde hands shaped like a compass, displaying hours on the left and minutes on the right. Powered by the Vacheron automatic cal 1120/2. The watch was produced for about 10 years with only 638 watches being produced. This one features the Europe, Asia, and Africa map dial. No box or papers.
