Hey folks Up for consideration, is a must try for any enthusiast, novice or veteran. I was never a fan of the brand until recently, out of sheer bias. Thankfully, having given a few models their fair shot, I’ve come to appreciate what the brand offers, especially at second hand prices. This particular model was crowd sourced to be reissued back in 2017 with over 60,000 votes cast to bring back this variation of the Autavia. At 42mm it seems a bit on the larger side, but wears closer to a 40mm timepiece on my 7.5” wrist. There are desk diving marks on the bracelet/clasp and some faint hairlines on the case sides, nothing egregious. This example is in excellent condition given the age, and runs as perfectly as it ever could at 0s/day and amplitude of 285 courtesy of the fully in-house Heuer 02 chronograph movement which boasts a 75-hour power reserve and a vertical clutch column wheel movement that is quite nicely finished. I’m a sucker for a value added feature and the 12 hour timing bezel provides yet another complication in addition to the chronograph, factor in the dive style haptic feedback from the bezel and you have yourself a fidget spinner. The bracelet is the cherry on top as it is quite likely one of the nicest bracelets I’ve adorned on wrist; beautiful articulation and adequate heft without being chunky, makes it a joy to wear.
