Hello Omega Forums,

As many of you may recognise I frequent the 30T2 threads as these are my passion! I own probably a dozen or so currently, but have decided to let a couple of them go to other members on the forum. Today we have a particularly special Suveran model from 1944 with a very nice black dial and lume numerals.


Dial
As you can see pictured the black dial has a matte finish to it, and a subtle patina. The creamy numerals offset the dial quite beautifully making it very legible and easy to read. The lume no longer glows, but this is to be expected for an 80 year old watch. The watch has very nice syringe style lume hands that again make for quite a bold and striking aesthetic. The sub dial at 6 o clock shows the seconds, the second hand has some marks, but a watchmaker could probably polish these out at the next service.

Case
The case is in good condition and measures 35.5mm in diameter not including the crown, making it an ideal sized watch for modern use. As we collectors like to see it has not suffered from excessive polishing, the chamfers are all present - and overall it is a very well preserved piece. There is a small 'dink' near 12/1 oclock, although it is very very minor. The original crown too is present.



Movement
The movement is the famed 30T2 calibre manual movement and it is running very strong. I haven’t had it serviced during my ownership however so I would recommend factoring in a service at some point in the future. I have not however noticed anything that would bring me any concern.



Strap
The pictured strap is may not be included, as I frequently swap my straps so, the watch is sold as head only, however if you would like I will add one of my spares to it for you to wear straight away free of charge.
