The pale blue color of the dial embodies the reflection of the sky on low, overlapping clouds over the regions lowlands. Perfectly matched to the 44GS case in celebration of the 55th anniversary of that design, the watch is stunning in person in a way the pictures really don't convey. The movement is the Grand Seiko 9F85 HAQ, specially enhanced to be accurate to +/- 5 seconds per year instead of the typical 9F 10 seconds per year. Only the absolute highest grade quartz crystals are selected for these movements to ensure the higher standard. The case measures 40mm without crown, with a 46.2mm lug to lug length and 19mm lug width. Thickness is just 10.7mm. This example is excellent, and comes on an unworn bracelet as the watch was worn only on the also-included blue silicone strap.
