Up for sale is a gorgeous vintage Seiko Business Weekdater 6206-8040. I bought this watch off WatchEx for around $250 and it had a seriously diminished power reserve. I ended up sinking over $300 into a servicing since I really liked it, but since getting a Grand Quartz I just don’t feel myself wearing this anymore. It has a 40+ hour power reserve now, it’s in great condition, movement was spotless, and you can feel the rotor purr on your wrist. Looks like the case was lightly polished at some point but this was never a model known for its sharp lines like the GS that would later use its movement. This quirky watch has a full day of the week at 6 o’clock which earns it the name Weekdater. Made in the late 60s, this model is a “Business” variant which was aimed for the burgeoning Japanese office worker as a watch to wear daily. It is a beautiful watch with classic Seiko styling and represents tremendous value.
