Hey fellow watch collectors, I’m just over a month into watch collecting and have already gone crazy buying up everything that catches my eye. Without delving into hyperbole, this watch made history by being the first French made caliber with a micro rotor; the fact that it came from Yema, a company with a fascinating history of its own, cements the fact that they truly are committed to becoming a powerhouse in the space, designing their own movements and uniquely designed watch offerings. The integrated bracelet sports watch craze is long established, but Yema manages to bring some design elements to this watch that typically aren’t seen in the sub $2000 segment. The ALD process used to coat the movement is done by the same company that does Christopher Ward’s Bel Canto and even a skeletonized Audemars Piguet. The finishing on the casing and bracelet is phenomenal and punches way above its class. I encourage you to look up pictures of this watch taken by talented photographers, because the micro rotor movement is truly a sight to behold. Yema produced 1948 of these in a limited Kickstarter campaign. There is no damage or real signs of use on this guy; I’ve simply outspent my budget on watches so I’m offering this one for $1475 shipped.
