Up on the block today is this all original 1960 Zodiac Triple Calendar Moonphase. This unusual Zodiac wristwatch was made in the 1960s at a time when the movement had to operate using mechanics. This would be impressive on its own but is especially impressive when the watch is a working calendar and giving you the phases of the moon, too. Important for all those meteorologists and mariners out there who live by the tides! The watch is set using a pin and the small pushers on the side of the case. I must say it looks very elegant on the wrist. The specs: Brand: Zodiac Model: Zodiac Triple Calendar Moonphase Country of Origin: Switzerland Manufactured: Circa 1960 Case Size: 34mm diameter, 41mm lug to lug, 12.2mm thick Case Material: Stainless Steel with 14K gold plating and gold fill Movement: Zodiac 1150A/AS1361N Manual Wind Crystal: Acrylic Dial: Cream colored with Arabic numerals Bracelet: Vintage 1960’s period correct Montal Beads of Rice Rolled Gold w/17.6mm ends (will fit up to a 6.25” wrist) We recently sent this watch out to service with Kelly at Art of the Watch in Portland, Oregon as my wife noted that the crystal kept coming off, so please read the following notes on the condition carefully: The watch is noted to have a loose bezel and slightly loose case back. The case also shows plating/gold fill loss which is not uncommon considering the watch was worn for the past 65 years. It was noted that the case has Steel underneath, rather than many watches of this time which used a base metal or brass, meaning if restored this would give the case a better opportunity to hold together for longer. The movement shows significant wear and could use a repair and train bridge replacement. It should be noted that even after a thorough and detailed sympathetic restoration to the movement, performance will be limited. Expect +\\- 1-2 minutes a day. The bracelet was noted as lovely and in great overall condition. After receiving this expert feedback, we decided to sell the piece rather than restore it, as my wife had her eyes set on her grail: a two-tone Rolex 16233 with roman numerals (which Kelly sourced for us in lightning quick fashion)! I have tried to capture everything in the photos and video below: Timestamp: [https://imgur.com/a/hpWZT7f](https://imgur.com/a/hpWZT7f) Album: [https://imgur.com/a/CcmDTLk](https://imgur.com/a/CcmDTLk) The watch is still running and could be seen as a project piece. In general, I still feel it offers a great opportunity for anyone that is wanting to add a gold vintage piece to their collection and your chance to get Patek of Omega vibes in a solid gold package for a fraction of the price! I have seen these watches go anywhere from $600-+$2k online in various conditions. I have had many purchases and sales on this forum and am doing my best to fully disclose the condition of this gorgeous vintage watch. That being said and based on the condition of the watch and findings from Kelly at Art of the Watch, I am looking to get **$500/OBO** for this rare vintage Zodiac Triple Calendar Moonphase. The watch will come as shown on the period correct gold rolled beads of rice bracelet (which was valued at $250) and with no box or papers. It is not getting any wrist time at all currently so **all reasonable offers will be considered, and I am also open to trades depending what you have to offer.** Shoot me a DM if interested and thanks everyone!
