Alright WatchEx, I need to slim down my collection in advance of a cross-country move, so I'm letting the market decide what stays or what goes. I'm most likely not interested in any trades, unless it's a combo of watches trading upwards. Seiko Lord Matic 5606-700 Silver Dial, Gold Hands & Indices Price: $250 + shipping Timestamp: https://imgur.com/KIwuepD Current Album: https://imgur.com/a/mgxu1Bt Previous Albums: https://www.reddit.com/gallery/1bsdv1h https://imgur.com/a/nniEh6j This ~1970 Lord Matic model has a delightful early GS-esque case wrapped around a beautiful silver dial with gold indices and hands. The crystal has a noticeable crack between the 7 and 8 o-clock markers, which I tried to highlight in the photos. That's really the only major flaw on this watch, followed by signs of general usage and maybe some light polishing over the years. Critically, both the quick-date and quick-day set functions operate as intended, indicating that the movement was kept in good running order. These functions often break on these watches due to setting them at the incorrect time and damaging an internal component that I believe is made of plastic, or at least known to regularly fail. The bracelet that came with the watch appears to be proper for a Seiko Lord Matic watch of the era, but the endlinks don't seem to fit this watch 100%, so I won't claim that it's original. I bought a 19mm Beads of Rice style bracelet from StrapHabit to give a little more peace of mind wearing this, as well as a nice milled clasp which I never even removed from the packaging. Everything seen in the Timestamp photo is included. King Seiko VANAC 5626-7190 Price: $350 + shipping Timestamp: https://imgur.com/xYN2ygO Current album: https://imgur.com/a/lord-seiko-vanac-5626-7190-36DIhkS Previous Albums: https://www.reddit.com/gallery/1bsd6hg https://imgur.com/a/Av1RTbI Whoo boy, there must have been some strong stuff getting passed around in the 70s! This 1973 Seiko KS Vanac has a wild multi-faceted Hardlex crystal that plays with the light and dial in absolutely insane ways! Throw on a pretty strongly shaped case for its 36mm size and extremely geometric applied indices in both silver and a golden hue over a green-to-white-to-green fade dial and it's just a treat for the eyes! I don't have any service history, box, papers, or the original bracelet for this, but it runs reliably and the quick day setting works! Unfortunately somehow since my last post, the quick date function doesn't appear to properly function, so I've reduced the price quite a bit. It also still has what is presumably its original golden KS crown, and will be sent with the generic green leather strap shown. Seiko SPB155 'Baby Alpinist' Price: $550 + shipping Timestamp: https://imgur.com/w4QTJ7t Album: https://imgur.com/a/jBIV21A Honestly I kind of hope this one stays, but my collection got a bit out of hand and let's see what the demand is for this. The condition is nearly like-new with very minimal wear outside of some expected very light scratches, mostly on the bracelet. This one does seem to run rather fast, about +20s per day, but that's the Seiko 6R for ya. Full outer & inner boxes, original cards, and extra links included. ~~Seiko SARX 'Baby Snowflake' Full Titanium~~ ~~Price: $699 + shipping~~ [SOLD] Timestamp: https://imgur.com/ojX7naV Current album: https://imgur.com/a/vCpjaQe Previous album: https://imgur.com/a/Gwwa6pD I bought this watch less than a year ago right here on WatchEx, but the case back was in rough shape, the bracelet had some messed up pins, and the movement needed servicing. I sent it in to Seiko USA service center and had the movement services, the caseback replaced (original included), a bunch of extra pins and collars for the bracelet, and a new crown (original included). The new crown stuck out too far when 'fully in', so I had to send it back for them to correct this. I won't lie: the case and bracelet aren't perfect. There are noticeable signs of wear due to the soft titanium used, but I absolutely love wearing this watch due to its comfort and gorgeous lightplay on the dial and hands. I paid to service this watch because I planned to hang on to it for a long time, but sometimes life just happens. Seiko SPB147 '62MAS-ish' Gilted Diver Price: $699 + shipping Timestamp: https://imgur.com/WsTPL6K Album: https://imgur.com/a/0QMCU3J The good: alignment is REALLY good, with the bezel maybe, just maaaybe being ever-so-slightly clockwise off. The not-so-good: the 6R35 movement is running rather slow, nearly 30s per day. I was able to make due with it in daily usage at this rate, but partly due to watch rotation. There appears to be a slight scuff around the '1' in the 10-minute mark on the bezel. The excellent: Included is the attached brand-new Islander BRAC-38 bracelet I only installed and sized for my 6.5" wrist. All stickers other than the wraps around the bracelet are included with this, as well as the screwdriver, extra (6) links, the original Seiko rubber strap, outer and inner boxes, and cards / booklets. I'm in MetroWest MA and can meet up in person in a public place, preferably in front of a police station. I've got positive feedback here and on ebay (user: k1ngfunk) and 100% positive feedback on OfferUp with that same SN from doing local deals back when I lived in Chicago. I have multiple watches for sale, so please check out my submitted post history! I'm more than happy to negotiate deals if you're interested in more than 1 watch. Trades, especially multiple watches trading upwards, may be considered. Thank you!
