The Speedmaster name has always been reserved for Seiko's best quartz chronographs and this SBBR003 does not disappoint. The original mineral crystal does have a clean central scratch but no cracks; replacement crystals are still available online (or a watchmaker could size a worry free sapphire replacement). The military inspired dial with green and red accents is pristine; lume is weak due to age. Stainless case and snap-on caseback are in very good shape. Unsigned stainless crown for time setting and alarm in great shape and all functions work including quickset date. Chrono pushers press in reliably with no stickiness and all chrono subregisters properly reset to zero. Watch is keeping good time and battery changed within the last 3 months.
