**The Watch:** A Tank Louis Cartier 100th anniversary production in Rose Gold. Introduced in 1917, the Tank set a standard for dress watch design that has lasted through the 20th century to today. Shortly thereafter, they began producing the Tank Louis, so-called as it was worn by Louis Cartier himself. There have been a constellation of different Tank LC’s over the years, from the 021 Frédéric Piguet powered 70’s examples, to the late 90’s CPCP display-backed XL’s (please message me if you have one😅). I recently got my hands on a full set of reference WGTA0011, the Tank LC XL introduced in 2017 for the line’s 100th anniversary. This reference measures 33.7x25.5, modern but modest, in an 18k rose gold case. It radiates classic Cartier: the warm gold tones, the detailed guilloche pattern, the glossy Roman Numerals, the screws and cabochon, and the mechanical movement. This one comes on its original strap and buckle, along with box, warranty card dated 2019, and 2 more original Cartier straps. Call it full kit ++. **Condition:** Some wear typical of light use across the case.
