Hello WatchExchange! Today I have my 36mm 1968 LeGant Skin Diver for sale. This is is a swiss made watch for the American department store Montgomery Ward. Most of these "Swiss Made" watches from this era that I have encountered had 1 jewel movements, or the bezel was plastic and for looks only. I am a watch maker and this watch is as beautiful from this era as I have seen! The dial is a glossy black enamel, with painted lumed indices, and unlumed numerals. The hands are broad arrows and lumed. The date wheel is the most interesting to me. I had trouble capturing it, but it has a metallic finish, similar to automotive paint, and is just gorgeous. A new crystal was installed, and as you can seem from the timegrapher, its running strong and healthy. I think -10spd is pretty great for a watch of this age. The beat error has been corrected out of it, and the amplitude is that of a much newer watch. I serviced and cleaned this movement, and oiled with all modern Moebius oils. The bracelet is nothing special, and appears to be aftermarket. The case is in ok shape, and had a lot of character. Bezel is bi-directional with no click, as was standard from the factory. The bezel is aluminum and has some marks, but appears to have lived and full and active life. Price is $220 Shipped for this beauty. A real stunner, and wears nicely at 36MM.
