Up for sale is this stunning IWC mid-century dress watch in 18kt rose gold, featuring the legendary Caliber 89 manual movement, designed by Albert Pellaton. This piece measures a 37mm diameter case, which in my opinion wears more like a 38mm or 39mm becaue of the distinctive fancy “shark’s fin” flared lugs. The gold case is in excellent condition for its age, still nice and thick, with well defined shapes and edges, and the movement is also keeping good time for a vintage piece. The dial is in original condition, with some patina and signs of honest aging as you can see in the picture, and is accented by beautiful applied indices and numerals.
