My love for these Rolex hand round references is well documented (as in, by me… I keep saying it… love ‘em!) Perfect for the collector dipping a toe into vintage Rolex or for the collector who appreciates what a great moment in time this was for Rolex, going back to their roots with clean, simple, robust hand wound pieces. This is an interesting one with a brushed gray dial - usually see them in silver, this is a little more rare with some really cool hour markers, on bracelet, with recent service ready to rock! REFERENCE: 6694 SERIAL NUMBER: 2,312,XXX DATE: 1970 DIAL: You see them in silver, you see them in gray, but really don’t see many with this brushed gray dial complete with stepped hour markers that have developed a really cool patina! Just a gorgeous example, a few light marks seen under a loupe but presents near mint on the wrist including the nice full tritium lume plots. CASE: Clean previously polished 34mm case (actually measures 34.5 on calipers, and wears like a 35 or so with the oyster case.) Light wear overall, of course mostly on the smooth bezel and sides, but presents super nicely, photographed on my 6.6 inch wrist. CRYSTAL: Vintage plexi crystal has some wear seen up close, as expected, but nothing that takes away from that sweet dial. MOVEMENT: Serviced about 1.5 years ago, so the hand wound Rolex movement winds and sends beautifully, with date changing over as it should - ready to enjoy for years! BRACELET: Comes on a folded link Rolex 7835 oyster bracelet with 257 end links. Really nice condition with just regular vintage wear, crisp crown on the clasp, and will fit up to app just over 7 inches. ACCESSORIES: Watch on bracelet only.
