A bit of a catch and release for me. I found one of my grails, so this one is going out to a new loving wrist. It’s a Seiko SBCJ019 GMT Alpinist in a titanium case with a dreamy inky black dial and classic bright Seiko lume. The titanium GMT Alpinists were released under the Prospex line in the early 2000s. Inside is an 8F56* (typo in the title) movement, a high-accuracy thermocompensated quartz movement which hits all the indices good to +/- 20s/yr. The movement also features a 10-year battery life, a true GMT hand, and an hour hand that can be adjusted in 1 hour jumps. The watch for sale is in great condition. The case is titanium, so it naturally shows a bit more light surface scratching than stainless steel. They’re more like scuffs, and while present, you’d be hard-pressed to see them at a wrist’s length away. There are a couple of micro dings; one on the bezel near 4:30 and one on the lower lug bt the 4:00 crown. The 2:00 crown rotates the internal compass bezel smoothly, and the 4 o'clock crown screws down tightly. The movement is running well, with the battery was changed within the last year. According to the previous seller, the perpetual calendar has been correctly set (and I can confirm it rolled over from the 30th to the 1st correctly).
