Hermes knows design. It’s kind of their bag (sorry not sorry…) The Slim D’Hermes is the iconic French brand doing what it does best, mixing class with a minamalist design that pops. There’s so much to love about this watch but to me it’s all about the insanely cool typography by famed French graphic designer Philippe Apeloig and the equally cool micro router movement! REF: CA2.810 DIAL: Crisp white dial with arguably the coolest numerals out there! Hermes brought in Apeloig specifically to design the typography for this release and the result is phenomenal - he manages to capture the 30s while also feeling wholly modern. Just gorgeous, and in great condition, including the sapphire crystal. CASE: 39.5MM stainless case is perfect for a daily or slightly larger dress watch. Wears beautifully, photographed on my 6.6 inch wrist, at app 8MM thin it just disappears! Great design elements here as well, the way the strap slots in, and of course the sapphire case back. Light wear, mostly seen on the highly polished bezel and case sides but all in looks great. MOVEMENT: Automatic cal H1950 is thankfully on full display through the sapphire case back. From the micro rotor to the Hermes engravings throughout, it’s a thing of beauty! Winding and setting perfectly, with timegrapher showing 10 seconds per day and a very healthy amplitude of 327. STRAP: Comes on a perfectly matched orange leather strap, adding to the funk and bringing in that classic Hermes color. Also comes with its original black leather Hermes strap complete with Hermes stainless buckle. ACCESSORIES: Double boxes and paperwork set - outer orange Hermes box, inner black Hermes box, stamped guarantee paperwork, and booklet, all kept from new.
