This is a gorgeous 60-hour Bunn Special made by Illinois Watch Co, in Springfield Illinois in the late 1920's. The condition of the watch is stunning! Near-mint, which is crazy for a nearly 100 year old timepiece. This size 13s pocket watch is in full working condition and keeps time very well. The movement features at at least 6 gold-set rubies that you can see. The movement is beautifully finished with incredible detail. Simply top notch. This is a "lever-set" movement with the lever tastefully hidden under the bezel. The bezel easily unscrews by hand to allow access to the lever. The porcelain dial is in mint condition. It has been beautifully printed with a very cool and unique looking minute marker track around the edge. Purple steel hands. The crystal and bezel are also in mint condition, as are the crown and bow. The case itself is an official Bunn Special model. Wadsworth quality 10k gold filled, measuring approximately 50mm in diameter. The case back easily unscrews by hand for when you want to open it up and look at the movement. The case back itself is the only part of the case that's not 100% mint, but it's not far off. The case back has a mirror finish that looks almost like new. If you look more closely, there are a few hairline micro scratches consistent with a very light amount of natural wear. The fluted edge of the case back is mint. See pics for detail.
