This model represents the second generation of Japan’s very first alarm wristwatch, released by Citizen in June 1959, ahead of Seiko’s entry into alarm watches. It features a unique four-hand layout, with the alarm function powered and set via the crown at 2 o’clock—wind to charge the alarm spring, then pull out to set the alarm time. The watch has been recently serviced and is running smoothly. The alarm mechanism works perfectly, delivering a classic mechanical buzz. It retains all original components except for the strap, which is a high-quality aftermarket replacement. The stainless steel case measures approximately 37mm including the crown and shows light wear consistent with age. A rare and functional piece of Japanese watchmaking history.
