From 1903 when Cartier crafted the first iteration for pilot Alberto Santos-Dumont to this modern beauty, the Cartier Santos is a masterful design! The sharp squared lines to the steam punk esque exposed bezel screws, it’s like no other watch. And this is a fantastic example of the large model, in a full set on bracelet with a bunch of extra straps! CASE: 39.8MM stainless case with those sweet sharp Santos lines! The standard light scratches on the flat bezel and case sides, but minimal and about as clean as I’ve seen, especially the bezel. The large model brings some nice wrist presence while still feeling elegant (photographed on my 6.6 wrist.) MOVEMENT: Automatic movement with quick set date running perfectly. Serviced prior to last owner purchasing in 2024, with pressure test and variant results included, and timegrapher is showing a perfect 0 seconds per day with a healthy amplitude of 277!
