The Roman numeral markers are painted with 10 layers of paint, giving them a noticeable height against the glossy porcelain surface. **The Collection.** In my opinion, anyone who likes Seiko should go out of their way to get at least one piece from Seiko’s Master Craftsmanship series. The collection was put together to honour the best of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, and you will never have felt so spoiled for choice as you try to determine where your allegiance lies between Arita Porcelain, Enamel, Urushi Lacquer, and Shippo Enamel. Of course, the best solution (not from an economical standpoint) is to simply buy one of each.  **The Dial.** Arita porcelain has a slight bluish hue to it. Subtle, but noticeable - it’s the primary difference between Arita and normal porcelain. The craftsmanship speaks for itself. The painted numerals, though only subtly raised, cast tiny shadows that add thickness and depth. **The Hands.** Everyone seems to describe the hands as "heat-blued," but I don’t think that’s right. On close inspection, you’ll notice soft, uneven, rounded edges - not the sharp lines typical of heated steel. Their neon glow resembles the surface of Shippo enamel, and I’d be willing to bet they’re hand-glazed with enamel paint before being heat-treated. **The Movement.** Inside is a 6R35, which is a power reserve upgrade to the more standard Presage 6R15 movement. It has a 70-hour power reserve and 29 jewels. # Details: **The Condition**:  In great condition overall. Any markings are small and very hard to notice.
