The ref. 16234 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal. It also featured the jumping date and the newly updated Cal. 3135 movement. This Rolex Ref. 16234 is in excellent pre-owned condition, with a sharp, fluted bezel and light scratches to the case which could be polished upon request. The bracelet shows very light stretch and measures 7.50”. The watch includes the original inner/outer box, and original papers dated 1997.
