The case is ideally sized for a dress watch — 38.5mm in diameter and 10.2mm thick – and the rounded case is so comfortable you almost forget you’re wearing it. The radiant dial is reminiscent of the popular Seiko Cocktail Time but on a truly different level. Bright and uniquely clean, with all the finishing details you’d expect from a Grand Seiko. This is masterful art and engineering, with no date window or power reserve to take away from the precision. The caseback is maybe the best part, with a unique rear power reserve indicator and a clear view of the spring drive 9R31 movement. Created at the same time as Caliber 9R02 from Micro Artist Studio, the Caliber 9R31 manual-wind movement has a dual-spring barrel with two mainsprings set in parallel within a single barrel, delivering a power reserve of 72 hours. Accuracy is +/- 1 second a month. This watch is in excellent condition and comes with the original Seiko double box, manual, certificate of guarantee, and hang tag. There is almost no discernable wear on the original OEM strap and clasp, the case is in mint condition and the crystal is flawless. There is one scratch on the edge of the bezel between hour markers four and five. As it’s on the edge it doesn’t catch the light as much as if it was on the bezel itself. There are no other imperfections visible to the naked eye or in photos.
