[WTS] Piaget Altiplano blue Lapis Lazuli dial 18k gold w/ original strap and buckle mechanical fully serviced
Small gold dress watches are back with a vengeance and I’m here for it! But taking it up a notch is the stone dial. I’m a blue guy, so for me it’s hard to beat a lapis lazuli dial and that’s exactly what we have here from Piaget, the Altiplano Ultra Thin hand wound with an absolutely stunning lapis dial complete with its original strap and buckle! REFERENCE: 902 YEAR: App 1970s DIAL: The star of the show, an absolutely gorgeous lapis example with gold flecks that perfectly match the case, it’s the kind of dial you just NEED to stare at, and to find one this clean is awesome! CRYSTAL: Flat mineral crystal has some wear, most notable around the edges and at the top near 12. Happy to have it replaced for the new owner if they wish but based on fit I believe it’s original so I always want to opt to keep that way. And it doesn’t distract from that gorgeous dial! CASE: Ultra thin solid 18k yellow gold case is just 4.8MM thin! Usually see these listed at 32MM wide, calipers put it to 31.5MM x 34MM, and with the thinness it wears almost identical to a 33MM Calatrava. Sleek and understated with a subtle coin edged bezel, feels fantastic (pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist.) Case does have wear, as is common with these, most notable are a few dings on the side and scratches throughout, but disappears while wearing. And what’s very cool about this example is the case back simply has the French Eagle stamp, indicating it’s an early example that was made originally for the European market. MOVEMENT: Ground breaking ultra thin Piaget hand wound caliber 9P. This movement broke records when it was first released in 1957 at just 2MM tall! This example was serviced by the previous owner, so of course running beautifully with timegrapher showing 6 seconds a day and an amplitude of 289. STRAP: Comes on its original Piaget black leather strap, which has minimal wear, still nice and soft and found complete with what has got to be one of the coolest buckles ever made, the raised P buckle in solid 18k gold. (A seven hundred dollar buckle alone if they can be found!) ACCESSORIES: Watch on leather strap with buckle only. PRICE: $4795 which will include 2 day fully insured shipping through FedEx anywhere in the US. Face-to face deals in the Los Angeles area are always welcomed with a small discount offered. No trades, thanks. Payment via Venmo friends and family, Zelle, Wise, or bank wire. No returns unless misrepresented and it absolutely will not be, I’m a passionate collector first and foremost and I go out of the way to treat buyers the way I want to be treated when I’m the buyer. Lots of great feedback to show that! TIMESTAMP: https://imgur.com/a/neRvj6T Thanks for checking out this GORGEOUS lapis dial Piaget! Follow me here and on IG at thewriteroftime for more cool pieces!
