Up for sale is one of my prized hens teeth - circa 1972 as a guestimate, a completely original Roamer Rockshell MkIII Electronic divers watch on bracelet.

This watch runs using a transistorised movement using magnets and a hairspring - the ESA 9154, which was an upgrade from previous versions with a high beat rate of 28800 vph. You can place this on a timegraph and check the accuracy, which at the time was pretty damn revolutionary. The movement was overshadowed by introduction of quartz movement without the need for an oscillating hairspring and it wasn't produced very long.

Anyway, enough nerding.
This is a beast with a really unique case profile, and a genuine compressor case with a scree down bezel ring and tension ring around the crystal.

The caseback does snap open to allow for a battery change, but I believe it may need to be removed from the front to fully service, however it's debated online about this.

There is an internal rotating dive count bezel which functions flawlessly from the crown at 12, making it literally a unicorn watch and easily adjusted when worn on either wrist. Well thought out really.

For a 50 year old watch, it runs exceptionally well and it has obviously never been polished. All the lines are straight and sharp and the wear marks are consistent and without any significant dents or deep scratches.

It wears amazingly well and is always tilted a little towards the wearer. As the bracelet connects underneath the case, the overall lug to lug is shorter than the case size and it truely a pleasure to wear. It's a real conversation starter.

The original bracelet tapers significantly and the signed double foldover clasp snaps closed tightly, also housing a dive extention. There are a huge number of micro adjustments in the clasp as well.

Dial and hands are in exceptional condition for its age, with bright colour and no signs of water damage.

You may never see one of these again.

I have also a fully functional spare ESA 9154 that I'll ship with this watch. Just in case there is ever a problem in the future, I wanted to have a full running spare movement for parts. I have never had an issue, so that movement is complete.
