What’s up Watchexchange. For sale today is an underrated gem in the Grand Seiko catalog, the SBGE255 Spring Drive GMT. What sets this watch apart is its 40.5mm size, a rarity for Spring Drive GMTs, the fact that it features a micro adjust clasp on the bracelet, and it has lume, two rarities for Grand Seiko in general. I purchased this watch used with next to no wear, and while it has gotten some light scratches and marks, it’s still in very good condition overall. Thanks to the Spring Drive movement, this piece has been immensely accurate, and has always performed better than its rated accuracy. I’ve found this to perform more like a HAQ piece, like a 9F equipped watch, and certainly, you won’t be in want for accuracy. As mentioned before, this watch measures 40.5mm wide, by 48.5mm lug to lug, by 14.6mm thick. It might sound thick, however this has been a very wearable piece. The blue ceramic bezel has a nice downward slope, and the same is true of the lugs, they slope down and it wears slimmer than it sounds on paper. As someone who isn’t the biggest fan of watches that wear like a slab, this is not that, easily. The watch comes as a full kit, box and papers, with full links.
