Hi, I have decided to slowly reduce my collection of wrist watches in favor of purchasing (further) pocket watches. So, you will see a few wristwatches for sale in the the next months.

Here is a Omega Speedmaster 125 Chronograph. The watch is working nicely, all functions without problems, but it did not recently receive a service, so that I would recommend a service, if it is to be used more or less frequently.

I want to emphasize that one detail needs to be discussed. The base plate has a caliber stamp 1040, whereas one would expect a caliber 1041. On the other hand the automatic bridge and the rotor are marked as one would expect it for a 1041. So, it might be that the base plate has been replaced by the technically identical 1040 base plate. Or, that at least some 125 had been made originally with a 1040 base plate. I may note that I have seen two other 125 also stamped 1040 on the base plate, so that either the latter assumption is valid, or an exchange of the base plate 1041 > 1040 was done more or less frequently for what ever reason. The extract from the archives does not provide any additional information. Anyway, interested persons should assume that in case of my watch the 1040 base plate is a replacement.

The dial and hands are in a nice condition, crystal and case show clear signs of wear.
