Very beautiful pocket watch with verge escapement and quarter repeater. In a silver case that is elaborately engraved with a landscape motif. The movement is signed Courvoisier & Comp., a very renowned Swiss manufacturer from around 1800, presumably made for the German market. I date the watch to the period 1800-1820.

The movement works perfectly and the repeater has a rather loud, yet very pleasant and full sound. The best repeater sound I have ever heard. The gongs apparently are made to the very best standards. The dial is very good, with a minimal chip right by the hands hole (see photo). If the watch is to be left running permanently, I recommend a service, the last service was decades ago.

I have owned the watch for almost 40 years. The watch can be viewed and collected at my office in Berlin Tegel (Germany). Shipping is of course also possible and the best packaging is guaranteed.

The watch is located in Germany, so EU residents do not have to pay any duties or taxes. My asking price is 1,400.-- € or the equivalent in other currencies. Payment by PP Business, I absorb the PP fees. Shipping is free in the EU, for other destinations please ask.
