This is an incredible example from the early 1970s - with its silver sunburst dial, day date feature, robust classic Omega automatic movement, I dare to call this the perfect vintage daily for well under $1000! REFERENCE: 166.0117 DATE: app 1972 DIAL: Beautiful CLEAN silver sunburst dial - even under a loupe barely a mark! The lume has aged to a beautiful dark cream. Comes with it’s original Omega crystal with floating Omega symbol in the center, light marks throughout as expected for vintage plexi, but also in incredible condition. CASE: Awesome 35mm case with thin bezel makes for the perfect oversized vintage piece. As seen in my 6.6 inch wrist there’s a lot of presence while still having that vintage elegance. Light wear throughout, as expected over the decades. but sharp and appears unpolished! MOVEMENT: Service history unknown, but iconic Omega cal 1022 automatic movement feels really nice and smooth when hand winding and all sets perfectly, including the quickset features for both day and date! Timegrapher numbers are also great at 3 seconds per day with an amplitude of 254. STRAP: Comes on a sweet new light brown strap that is both classic while also adding a tiny bit o’ rugged flair!
